Stand Up Paddleboard and Kayak 1st Annual Party Sept 7

The San Rafael canal waterway was a great venue for a really fun event when club members met on Friday night Sept 7 at 101 Water Sports on Third Street for a lively event of StandUp Paddleboard and Kayaking.  Member Mary Sackett organized for water chaperones and guides for those first timers who wanted to try something new on the bay.   The good warm weather participated nicely and we had most of our members, guests and new friends come to hang out dockside for a wonderful get-together to party & to cheer on those who ventured into the canal.  A potluck with the likes of abalone ceviche, Aref's famous fried chicken and a variety of delicious snacks were brought by members making a memorable evening.  And the good news:  Most everyone voted to make it an annual event.
