Mario Ernesto Lopez serves as the Community Advocate for The Canal and West Marin at the Marin Community Foundation. A San Rafael native and proud son of immigrants from Guatemala and El Salvador, Mario brings deep community insight, lived experience, and a steadfast commitment to equity and opportunity to his work with residents of The Canal and West Marin.
In his remarks, Mario will highlight the vital role The Canal plays in the civic, cultural, and economic fabric of San Rafael and Marin County, and he will share ongoing efforts aimed at strengthening conditions, expanding opportunity, and improving the everyday lives of Canal residents.
