Bike & Hike to End Polio Fundraiser

in beautiful West Marin!


What: Bike & Hike to End Polio

When: Saturday, October 5th from 8 am-4pm

Where: Bear Valley Picnic Area, Point Reyes National Seashore

 

Event Details

  • A 35-mile supported Bike ride through the rolling hills of West Marin.
  • Several Hike options through picturesque Point Reyes National Seashore.
  • All proceeds benefit Rotary's End Polio Now campaign, and are matched 1-to-1 by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.  
Costs
  • BIKE - $60 ticket price includes a supported ride with rest and refueling stop, a delicious picnic lunch, and refreshing cold drinks.
  • HIKE - $40 ticket price includes maps for several hike options looping from the Bear Valley Picnic Area, a delicious picnic lunch, refreshing cold drinks. 
  • KIDS - $15 ticket price includes a supported Bike Ride or Hike option, a delicious picnic lunch, and refreshing cold drinks.
 

General Information

  • Registration closes at 2pm on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 or earlier if the event sells out. Please sign up early so you don't miss out. This event is limited to 125 participants.

  • Unless you need to be accompanied by a certified Service Animal, pets are not permitted at this event. Please don’t bring or leave your pet in your car. Please let us know in advance if you need to bring a certified Service Animal so we may notify the Parks Service.

  • Cancellation Policy - The Bike & Hike to End Polio Now has a 14-day cancellation policy. There will be no refunds for cancellations after September 20, 2019. You may, however, transfer your tickets to a friend or family member. Please email judicooper@comcast.net if you have questions about cancellations or substitutions.

  • Weather Update - For the safety of participants and volunteers, the bike ride may be altered or cancelled in the case of inclement weather. Please check the @harborrotary facebook page for updates on the morning of the event, if rain is in the forecast.

  • Ride Rules - Helmets are mandatory. Riders should carry I.D., cash, tube(s), flat repair kit, water bottle(s), and have their own map in case they get lost. Riders should start early to avoid traffic and strong winds, and get back in time to fully enjoy lunch!
