Successful Earth Day Event At Schoen Park

Thank you to all who came out for a great celebration of Earth Day.  The Day could not have been more beautiful, the sun was glistening off the Bay and the trail had loads of users.  Thank you to Steve Villa, Susan Lundy and Jim, Bev, Barbara, Willa, Aref, Hugh and Sara Murphy, and the Sackett Family.  We loved celebrating with the San Rafael Mother's Club, watching the kids find lady bugs, and collect bottle caps.  The volume of trash has decreased drastically since San Rafael Harbor Rotary began clean ups at Schoen Park almost ten years ago.  Though not voluminous, cigarette butts and bottle caps continue to be a problem.  Thank you to Carla Coop of San Rafael City Volunteers for the supplies and publicity.  Steve Villa had the highest collection for the day!
