Davis will talk about experiences he has had in a multi-faceted career. After serving as a paratroop sergeant (first with the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division, and later with the 12th Special Forces Group of the Army Reserve), he spent 13 years as a smokejumper, then became a volunteer paramedic with overseas medical teams in Liberia (Ebola team), Mosul, Iraq, during the battle there, and more recently, Ukraine. More recently he has become a landscape artist and will display some of his work. |

Kathleen is the Chief Philanthropy Officer for St. Vincent de Paul Society of Marin. She was born and raised in Marin. Kathleen attended Redwood High School, Dominican University for undergraduate her work and Golden Gate University for her MBA. Kathleen retired from mortgage banking in 1990 to raise her three children. She has served on many nonprofit boards raising money for causes close to her heart. She and her late husband Keith raised their three children in Marin, as she says, “they are my greatest accomplishment.” Kathleen has been in the nonprofit development sector for more than 25 years and loves touching the lives of so many people on a daily basis. |

Dr. Eldridge will provide an overview of the College's offerings and a look to the College's future. Jonathan Eldridge, Ed.D serves as College of Marin’s 11th Superintendent/President. He came to the College in 2013 and most recently served as the College’s Assistant Superintendent/Vice President for Student Learning & Success. Dr. Eldridge supports a diverse group of faculty, staff, and administrators to create a truly coherent and integrated educational program for students. His commitment to student success is rooted in recognizing historical and systemic disparities in opportunity and outcomes and ensuring resources are directed at eliminating those disparities. |

Lilja Dwyer is a skateboarder, surfer, ex-cheerleader, and founder of Ladies Shred. She grew up in Marin County, California, with her younger brother, raised by their single mother. Discovering surfing and skateboarding in her late teens, Lilja fell in love with the culture and sports. For 13 years, Lilja traveled extensively, immersing herself in different cultures. Throughout her journeys, skateboarding remained a constant connection to the places she visited. For the past five years, Lilja has been running Ladies Shred, an organization that offers camps, classes, and community meet-ups. Ladies Shred focuses on building self-awareness, leadership skills, and fostering a sense of community among participants. The organization emphasizes safety, ocean and land education, and building self-confidence. Through Ladies Shred, Lilja aims to create an empowering environment for women and girls to learn and enjoy skateboarding and surfing. This talk will be about how Ladies Shred wants to reach a more diverse range of girls and women, and how we plan on doing so. |

Stephanie is the Clinic Operations Manager for Rotacare San Rafael. She works with a team of volunteer clinicians, nurses and support staff to deliver exceptional healthcare to the underserved in Marin County. Stephanie has worked in the medical field for over 15 years, from Medical Assistant to Site Director at one of the largest federally funded health centers in Sonoma county. In 2022 Stephanie joined the RotaCare San Rafael vision to close the healthcare disparity gap in the Marin community. With her passion and the passion of the RotaCare volunteers, they have continued to serve the underserved and underinsured in the community with high-quality healthcare. |

Lori is coming to update us on Sanzuma's existing programs and a firsthand look at their new and exciting program which includes helping seniors, the unsheltered, state-funded preschools and more!
Lori Davis is the founder and Executive Director of Sanzuma, a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing access to healthy food sources for students and their families in the Bay Area’s northern peninsula. Her passion for this organization is equal to her desire to ensure good nutrition is accessible to everyone, regardless of their economic status. This stems from losing her entire family to heart disease, including her only sibling. She deeply desires to see her community have access to and knowledge of healthy foods.
